[::..More Chinese New Year Goodies!!!..::]
I finally managed to sleep early last night. Can you believe it, after 1 mth. And just like in 2005, it is time to go home in a few days time. I actually had a full body massage appointment at 9.30am, but i didn't even hear my alarm clock. So, mum then knocked loudly on my door and told me the lady is here for me.
I quickly washed my face, brush my teeth, apologised to the nice little lady and lay on the mattress to be massacred. She started off with dry massage and later proceeded on with this super smelly massage oil. But the oil was so good, it heated up my body. Initially the massage felt like as though I was being sacrificed on the altar, I was screaming, and wriggling, begging for mercy but later on, it felt good. For whoever is interested in using her services, please feel free to contact me.
My godma, Auntie Karen came today. She cooked the yummiest food for me again. Lots of prawns, steamed fish, and lots more. I was going to help her cook, but it was too hot cooking in Singapore. I gave up and switched on a DVD. I watched Puteri Gunung Ledang. Which is a mythical story about a Majapahit Princess who fell hopelessly in love with a Malaccan warrior. A Malacca Sultan insisted on marrying her, of course she refused but on the insistance of the warrior-lover, she agreed to the marriage on 7 impossible conditions. The Sultan was unable to fulfil one of the conditions and she was banished to Mount Ledang with a curse that whoever sees her after dawn will die a painful death. Just like every love story, the warrior went to look for the Princess despite knowing the curse as he rather die looking at her once, than living a lonely life. Such is untainted love-sacrifice. (But only in the MOVIES!) Who in their right mind at these day and age would do that???????????? Life means so much more.
My brother is making so much noise. he cant even iron a simple T-Shirt without getting himself burnt by the iron. Ahhh...boys. They have to learn someday. Woman have to endure washing your clothes, hanging your clothes in the sun, oil splatters on our lovely skin when we cook for you, iron burns when we iron for you.
And yet, sometimes you don't appreciate the simple things we do.....Appreciate your sisters, appreciate your mothers....

[::..Lies, Lies and Lies.......::]
To the guilty parties, you might want to watch this!
http://www.videojug.com/film/how-can-i-tell-if-someone-is-lying-to-me
What is Lying in Islam?
Imam Bukhari and Muslim reported that the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) said, "The signs of the hypocrite are there: That he utters falsehood when he speaks and that he breaks his promise and that he betrays when entrusted", Imam Muslim added in another narration, "Even though he fasts, prays, and claims he is a Muslim."
Which is one of the worst and gravest sins, since it is a means to immorality, and leads the person to the hell fire (we ask Allah (S.W.T.) for refuge from that). Imam Bukhari and Muslim reported that the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) said, "Honesty guides to righteousness, and righteousness guides to paradise, and a person does preserve his honesty until Allah (S.W.T.) gives him recognition for being honest." The prophet added, "and dishonesty guides to immorality, and immorality leads to the Hell-Fire, and a person does preserve his dishonesty until Allah (S.W.T.) gives him recognition for being dishonest."
In another authentic hadith reported by Imam Ahmad, Ibn-Hibban and Al-Baihaqi, that the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) said, "Maintain six virtues and I guarantee you paradise: Tell the Truth when you talk, fulfill your promises, and give what has been entrusted with you, preserve your chastity, lower your gaze, and do not harm anyone."
Imam Ahmad and others reported in an authentic hadith that the Aisha’, may Allah be pleased with her said, "There had not been worse conduct than lying in the eyes of the companions. And the prophet (S.A.W.) would know the man of his companions who has been lying, and that would not clean away from the heart of the prophet, until he (S.A.W.) knows that person made repentance to Allah."
About breaking the promise:
Thus whoever promised another of good thing and did not fulfill it, then he would have a quality of hypocrisy. Allah (S.W.T.) has ordered us Muslims to fulfill our promises, when he said in surat Al-Israh, (Verse 34), what can be translated as, "And fulfill (every) covenant. Verily! The covenant, will be questioned about."
Imam Bukhari reported that the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) said, "A man form the children of Israel, asked someone to lend him a thousand dinars until a set date. Someone lent him the money, and when the time came that man wanted to pay it off. He went out to the sea to go to the lender, but could not find a ship; thus, he took a piece of wood and drilled a hole through it, then he put in it a thousand dinar and threw it in the sea. The lender came out in another sea shore to find the log before him, and he took it as a fire wood to his family and when he sawed it, he found his money in it". Because of his eagerness to payoff the debt on time, Allah (S.W.T.) has helped him in directing the money to its owner.
These are 2 of 3 signs of a Hypocrite.

[::..Three in the Bed..::]
Happy Chinese New Year.
The Girls left rubbish messages on my blog....while I was sleeping!
I woke up and the girls were already on the computer. I couldn't sleep the whole night. Farizah was talking by herself. Fatin kept on saying, "Don't pull the blanket!". Me....I listened to my ipod, and then played some ipod games, then pulled out three pillows, tried to sleep on the sofa bed in the hall only to split my pyjama pants when I sat down. So, in order to conserve my modesty, I had to crawl back into bed with those two angels.
Amazingly this time, the two of them finally kept quiet enough for me to fall asleep. That was at 6plus in the morning. I could hear the birds chirping and I began to reminiscence about my first Summer in London. I was so irritated by the little birds chirping outside Foulis Terraces' windows at 4am! After fajr prayer, they didn't give me a chance to sleep. I miss those times. While writing this, I just realised, I'm still wearing the split pyjama pants! I need to go out soon, visit some distinguished nice people then go buy more headscarves.
I spent some time watching Ma cooking Kuah Rawon. Wished uncle Happy New Year, and heating lunch for dad. My family....I am going to miss them. Wish I never have to go back to UK. Wish girls never have to worry about getting married. Wish....wish...wish so many things....Doa kan lagi bagus.
I just attached Lady Rain to my blog. I love this song. And I heard it while I was with Yaqin and Lala in Secret Recipe. I love my life. Can never ask for more.

[::..Haunted Movies makes me cry.......::]
Helpppppppppp...........My little cousin is driving me insane. She just got hold of my Digi Cam and shes taking pictures of everything. Until I told her.............she might have accidentally took a picture of a spirit.
Fatin, Farizah and I were watching the movie KuntilAnak.
Later on, Ma joined us. Farizah was so timid, she gave up almost 3/4 of the movie. When I'm scared, I just close my eyes and ask everyone, "What happened? What happened!" (Which happened often). Us three screamed and shouted at some all the scary parts of the movie. Sometimes, Ma will sneak out and scare us by moving chairs or throwing things at us. Once, she even wore the white prayer outfit and crept up beside me. I hate scary movies. They make me "cry"!!!!!!
Farizah blamed everything that happened to her after the movie on 'that thing'. Her hair band snapped and she asked me, "Who snapped it?" In the most timid way. Before that, she was drawing aimlessly and later realised she was drawing a long-haired girl. When I brought her to her realisation on her drawing, she started getting scared. She just makes me laugh. Three of us will be sharing a bed, coz I'm scared toooooo......Till now, she hasn't had a wee coz she doesn't want to go to the toilet!
I have attached Fatin and Farizah's pictures before the movie. I wished I had their pictures after!....Enjoy looking at those little clumsy faces!

My little Angels with silly faces

Enough Already lah!

[::..Reunion Dinner and More.......::]
Hi Everyone,
Happy Chinese New Year. I just had a good Reunion Dinner in my nenek's house. Met Auntie Yati, Nenek, Atuk, Mira and Uncle Amir. Nenek made the yummiest Soto Ayam (as requested my ME!!!!!), Sambal Sotong and Bargedil. Sedap sedap sedap. We chatted for awhile. Then I joined the kids (Mira and Fatin) on the MSN. They were chatting to this teenage boy, and I took over. And the boy asked who I was and I told him I was HIS Auntie. Then told him my age. I think he was a bit shocked to be chatting with an older girl! Anyway, Fatin came home with us and we plan to watch Kuntilanak tonight with Farizah.
Finally, I met Seha and Murni. Murni was doing well I heard, and Seha has just completed her first UK interview. I am so excited. I really hope she will get the job. At least I have someone in UK. Last night, Alam, Seha, Murni, Nisah and I met in Coffee Bean. We chatted and didn't realise it was 9.30pm. Catch up on old times, Alam and I were updated on the goings-on at Heart Centre. Somethings never change. I explained to them the nature of my job in UK and told them how much I was enjoying my work there. Opportunities were abundant, no racism even though I was a Muslim and a non-white. My bosses, my doctors, my colleagues which some I knew better than the rest, all treated me very well. Problems at work will always exist, but it is up to you to either make everyday a learning experience, or make everyday a step closer to the grave. Or god forbid-make your work place into miniHELL. CVHell...(CardioVascular Hell!)
Anyway, we Halal Chicks had a very good time. I would like the guilty parties to PLEASE email me our photos from last nite! ASAP so I can post it in this blog!!!!!!!!!!

[::..Farizah & Farah..::]
That's Mumble. My girlfriend Momo in London sent me that pic to cheer me up. We watched Happy Feet in December last year and totally enjoyed the movie. We fell in love with penguins as well. Isn't Mumble just the cutest? We both wanted to own a soft toy Mumble. We bought one that was vacuum packed to a fabric softer bottle. Unfortunately upon unwrapping, Mumble was as flat as a pancake. Our Mumble wasn't stuffed. So, I thought, stuff-it! (pun intended!) And chucked my flat Mumble to the darkest corner of my flat.
My little cousin is finally free to teach me how to do this blogger thing! She is so small, and yet so smart. I love my little Farizah. Can't believe shes growing up so soon!

[::..Don't try to fix me, I'm not Broken..::]
Life, is never how you want it to be. We are just human beings, living temporarily on this earth, we are Allah's guest. Soon, we are living this shell to go to another world, another life where-it depends on us.
This world is full of deceit, lies, trials and tribulation, hurt and anger. But why, why does it only seem to occur to the same people? All the time? Am I being picked on by Allah? Sometimes I wonder. But then again, I ask myself why. Why me. Lots of reason I play in my mind. And I find myself saying, " Allah, just let me feel happiness, once." By far, it is not meant to be.
I decided to look on the positive side. Allah loves me. Who he loves, he afflicts them with trials and tribulation to see if we accept it in faith. When I suffer, when I fall sick, my sins are expiated. I'm hurt, and I am scared of what the future lies. But I decided to say a different prayer this time- " Ya Allah, whatever you have taken from me, please replace me with one that is even better."
Don't try to fix me, I'm not broken.
Whatever I lose in dignity, I gain in strength.

[::..It has been awhile..::]
Sorry for being so lousy at updating my blog. I was suffering from a bad cold. Now I'm good. It is very hot today in Sunny Singapore. 32 degrees, and freezing cold in London. Looks like I am never destined to live in a cold cold place. In 2005, I was in Singapore when winter started in London. It snowed when I was here in Dec, and now I'm here in February and it is snowing in London. I am missing my home in UK. I wonder what is the state of my little shoe box (home).
In Singapore, I have been surveying laptops to bring home to Singapore. Went to Sim Lim and there were lots of good bargains. Meanwhile, I sent my darling laptop to Nash, and was just hoping that he could salvage whatever is left on the laptop.
Nash came, and gone. Told me that he is getting married in September. I am so happy to hear that. I have known him since I was 13 yrs old. Nice to know one by one my friends are getting married. Unfortunately, I can't answer the same when asked about my big day. I am not sure exactly when it is going to happen. I don't want to brand myself a commitment phobic. But I am a hopeless romantic. Just wanna make sure the man I marry is the one I want to live with forever for the rest of my live. Life is so funny. Sometimes, we are not qualified to be so choosy, but, I leave everything in Allah. I have faith that whatever path is chosen for me, is the right one and nothing will go wrong. Of course, I may regret in future, but one should not regret what happened in life. We should just put our trust in Allah and accept that everything is destined to happen. Nothing is certain in this life. I might smile and laugh with you today, and tomorrow I might just suddenly go. Nothing is certain in live, love, money, work, nothing is certain.
I realise I do not have much time left in Singapore. So, I am trying my best to spend lots of time with my family. Today my long term god-mother Auntie Karen came to see me. Shes so sweet. I am going to show her my collection of Nadya's pictures. I love that little girl.
Last night, Nadya did something really strange. I was watching a Barney DVD with her. Later on, we were joined by Fariz and Farizah. Halfway through the movie, Nadya turned around, pointed her finger to the kitchen and shook her head wildly and cried, "No, no, no!". Farizah and I turned around to look at what she was pointing at. But all we saw was a dark empty kitchen. I could feel the hair on my neck stand. Farizah inched closer to me. Fariz asked me what Nadya saw. And I told him, maybe she saw an angel, a ghost, or a spirit. Who knows. But it is most likely ugly or else, she wouldn't be crying! Minutes later, Nadya did the pointing thing again to the dark kitchen. This time, I'm sure it is something. can't be a fluke. So I called Mum to fetch me coz I'm just so scared like that. That is also the reason why I turned down Uncle Kader's offer to sleep there. I'm scared if I need to go to the kitchen at night, I wont have the guts to go! Then, when I went home, I was scared to go toilet as well. I'm so silly.
Ok....more news tomorrow! Ta xxx
