I learnt this in class last night. I thought of sharing with everyone. Note though, do not be afraid of poverty, as our provisions have been pre-decreed.
Spiritual Means of Provisions:
1) Seeking forgiveness
2) Maintaining bonds of kinship
3) Kindness to Parents
4) Giving Charity
(giving charity is a way of curing miserliness and it is very important. Many people might think that giving charity when they themselves haven't got any money is a crazy idea. But it is actually the best, bacause from the blessings of charity, Allah (Most High!) might increase our provisions.)
5) Having Taqwa
6) Reciting al-Waqi'ah
7) Praying the Duha prayer
8) Worshipping between Fajr and the sunrise prayer
Finally, "And no moving (living) creature is there on earth but its provision is due from Allah. And He knows its dwelling place and its deposit (in the uterus or grave). All is in a Clear Book." (11:6)
