Allah the Majestic and Exalted says: "I have divided the prayer equally between Me and My slave, and My slave shall have what he asks."
When the slave says, "All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the worlds," Allah says, "My slave has praised Me."
When the slave says, "....the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate," Allah says, "My slave has extolled Me."
When he says, "You alone do we worship and your help alone do we seek," He says, "This matter is between Me and My slave, and My slave shall have what he asks."
When he says, "Show us the straight path," He says, "This is My slave's, and My slave shall have what he asks,"-Sahih Muslim
Note: Surah Al-Fatiha as described above as an intimate conversation between us and Allah s.w.t. It is half for Allah s.w.t and half is a dua from us. "...this Matter..." Matter being whatever the slave asks for. Another beautiful lesson in increasing Sincerity in our daily prayers. May Allah s.w.t always keeps us in His straight path. Ameen.
